The STCW Convention has been amended by the 2010 Manila Amendments which contains new training requirements. Seafarers are required to provide documentary evidence of having maintained the required standard of competence every 5 years in order to undertake jobs pertaining to emergency, occupational safety and survival functions.
These Courses aims at imparting the learners with the updated knowledge of the particular area. This will better enable the seafarers with application of present day practical in their job at sea. This is a mandatory requirement under STCW guidelines for each individual on board ship to hold the updated course undergone certificate. This will keep the safety and security of the personnel on board with high efficiency and care during the time of uncertain circumstances.
