This course delivers training for masters, chief engineers, chief officers, 2nd engineers and any individual with immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging and care in transit of handling of gas cargoes. It includes a specialized training programme suitable to their duties, including gas tanker safety, fire safety measures and systems, pollution prevention, operational practice and obligations under applicable laws and regulations. The course takes whole account of Section A-V/1 of the STCWcode adopted by the international Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1978, as amended in 1995.
