Refresher Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat Course

The aim of the course is to give seafarers who are compulsory to take care of a survival craft or a rescue boat in emergency situations, the essential education and training to meet the Knowledge, Understanding and Proficiency necessities set out in the following:

STCW Table A-VI/2-1

Take charge of a survival craft or rescue boat during and after launch.

Operate a survival craft engine.

Manage survivors and survival craft after abandoning ship.

Use locating devices, including communication and signalling apparatus and pyrotechnics.

Apply first aid to survivors.

The STCW requirement for refresher training at 5-yearly intervals must be met or adequate onboard evidence must be provided.

  • REFRESHER COURSE FROM STCW 95 TO STCW 2010 FOR DECK OFFICERS INACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF STCW CONVENTION AS AMENDED IN STCW 2010
