Advanced Training Programme on Oil Tanker Operation Course

This course is open to seafarers who have completed a shore-based advanced fire-fighting training course approved by the Administration, and who have relevant experience appropriate to their duties on oil tankers, as stipulated in STCW and hold a certificate of competency issued under STCW A-II/2 or AIII/2 or higher.

TASCO is a mandatory course for obtaining level - II Oil Tanker Endorsement (Dangerous Cargo Endorsement), which is a requirement under STCW Chapter V/1 for all officers wanting to serve on board specified Tankers (Management level), in addition such personnel must have completed the Tanker Familiarization course and have experience appropriate to their duties on oil tankers with immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of Oil Cargos

  • ALL SEAFARERS HAVING COC ALSO ELECTRICAL OFFICERS/RADIO OFFICERS ARE ALLOWED, PROVIDED THEY HOLD AN AFFC CERTIFICATE BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF THIS COURSE
